Brookfield Homes President Steve Doyle to be Honored with Distinguished Alumni Award at USD
A 1984 graduate of the private university, Doyle will be honored during the Distinguished Alumni Awards Luncheon on Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, at the Westin Gaslamp Quarter.
SAN DIEGO, CA, September 22, 2011 /California PR News/ -- Brookfield Homes San Diego President Steve Doyle will soon join the elite ranks of Distinguished Alumni at the University of San Diego's School of Law. A 1984 graduate of the private university, Doyle will be honored during the Distinguished Alumni Awards Luncheon on Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, at the Westin Gaslamp Quarter.
The Distinguished Alumni Award is the school's highest honor bestowed upon alumni. The award is presented to law school alumni who have distinguished themselves in the legal field or other chosen profession at an exemplary level and who embody the high ethical standards and commitment to community service USD School of Law seeks to instill in its graduates.
Doyle is a veteran San Diego developer and president of Brookfield Homes since 1996. He is active with the San Diego County Building Industry Association, serving as president of the trade group in 2002. He also earned the Industry Professional of the Year Award in 2001.
Doyle served as president for the California Building Industry Association in 2005 and also that year received the City of Hope's Spirit of Life Award. Doyle was named to the California Building Industry Hall of Fame in 2007 and then was honored with the SDSU Outstanding College of Engineering Alumni Award. In 2008, Doyle earned the coveted "Monty".
Since its inception in 1977, the Distinguished Alumni Award has been given to more than 60 law school alumni, generally no more than three per year. This year, just two will be honored.
