Lindora Offers Free Weight Loss Program To Children On Worldwide Day Of Play Sept 24
Nickelodeon's Blackout Encourages Kids To Play Outdoors & Become More Active
LONG BEACH, CA, September 22, 2011 /California PR News/ -- In conjunction with the Nickelodeon Channel's 3-hour blackout called Worldwide Day of Play on Saturday, September 24 that encourages kids to engage in more outdoor activities, Lindora Clinics will offer one free 4-week weight loss program to all youth under 18 who enroll from noon to 3 p.m., announced Cynthia Stamper Graff, chair of the company. She said that Lindora, provider of America's leading medical weight control program, also will include lab work and exams required of new patients who enroll in the clinic based program.
"We are very much in support of Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play as it aims to encourage youth to become more active - a philosophy in keeping with the Lindora motto, 'eat better, move more, stress less,'" said Graff, who said other than the requirement for medical clearance, there are no conditions to the free offer. "Our 1-800-LINDORA phone lines will be open on Saturday, September 24 from noon - 3 p.m. during which time parents may set up appointments on behalf of their children."
For several years, Nickelodeon and its affiliated networks (i.e., Nick Jr., TeenNick, NickToons) has shut off its programming on 1 day from 12 noon - 3 p.m. to encourage kids to venture outdoors and play.
