On Veteran's Day, GI Bill author becomes Radio Talk Show Expert Guest to recognize America's war veterans by discussing a landmark GI Bill that not only reduces the ranks of one million jobless veterans, but creates 500,000 new jobs across America.
PALM SPRINGS, CA, November 06, 2011 /California PR News/ -- On October 12, Congressman Jeff Fortenberry (NE-1) introduced the Veterans Entrepreneurial Transition (VET) Act of 2011, a landmark new GI Bill that would allow veterans to use their already budgeted educational benefits earned under existing GI Bills, to start up new small businesses. The bi-partisan Bill now has four co-sponsors.
It is estimated that enactment of this ground-breaking GI Bill would quickly result in the creation of more than 100,000 new small businesses in every community across America, and the subsequent creation of 500,000 to 1,000,000 new sustainable jobs.
And, of course, is reduces veteran unemployment, now over one million.
The VET Act (H.R. 3167) started out nearly two years ago when Andy Gibbs, Vietnam era service disabled veteran put fingers to the keyboard of his home computer, and set forth to change the future for millions of his fellow veterans, and help drive US economic recovery.
He first proposed his legislation during testimony before the President's Interagency Task Force for Veteran Small Business in February of this year.
Mr. Gibbs is the nation's leading expert on this new legislation, and is currently booking guest segments on radio stations nationwide.
He is prepared to discuss myriad newspegs tied to this new bill, depending on the show host's topic and listening audience, including:
- Impact on US economy, and Federal Budget impact (it generates a surplus)
- State-by-State "economic development" dollars that would be available
- Reduction of veteran unemployment
- Reduction in military recruiting expense
- Benefits to community-level economic development
- National jobs creation (small business created 65% of all new US Jobs)
Additionally, he will challenge America to get behind this Bill:
- Every American can support new small business and jobs creation - so rattle your Congressman's cage;
- Every Congressman should be co-sponsoring this veteran's benefit / jobs creation / economic recovery bill;
Natural and confident, with a quality voice, Mr. Gibbs knows how to keep an interview moving along, and how to consistently engage and challenge the listeners. He'll take call-ins, and provide fast, succinct answers.
He has been a host on History Channel and Discovery Channel TV reality show pilots, provided voiceovers as a show narrator, and has appeared on CNN, the Ananda Lewis Show, and numerous radio programs over the past 15 years.
Interested radio show producers should contact Mr. Gibbs immediately to ensure a spot, and to coordinate scheduled.
